Create installation - Could a ClickOnce local deployment from a SharePoint folder work?

Modified on Thu, 24 Sep at 10:46 AM

Currently, Create or any other ClickOnce application cannot be successfully installed with local deployment files in a SharePoint folder like “https://presentationsolutions.sharepoint.com/Create Install/”.

They can be installed successfully if the folder path is in the format “C:\Users\PSL_User\Presentation Solutions Ltd\Create Install\”.

The reason for this is that the former path triggers client authorisation requests for access to SharePoint files and folders.

If a client chooses to attempt installation using a SharePoint location and local deployment files, they will need to investigate and determine what access they wish to make available to allow the installation to occur using a URL.
