To create a column and line chart with a choice of column chart types for the primary data, select the data for the chart including labels and series names (the last column of data will be plotted as the line).
Select New Chart in the ribbon or side bar.

- In the Chart dialog, select Column & Line and in the sub chart type list on the right select either:
- Column & Line Stacked
- Column & Line 100% Stacked, or
- Column & Line Clustered
- Select the required custom chart theme from the dropdown (the chart will be formatted accordingly).
- Click OK.

The Custom Chart Wizard will open with the fields populated based on your selection.
- Edit any of the fields by clicking on the button at the end to collapse the dialog and selecting the correct data or for titles, typing the text in manually.
- In the Primary Plot Type field change the subtype for your primary data from the drop-down list if you wish (you can change it to Stacked Column, Clustered Column or 100% Stacked Column).
- Click OK.

The formatted chart will appear on the worksheet.

Save the workbook. Send to PowerPoint or Word using Quick Send.
