PowerPoint - Adding a Home Link

Modified on Thu, 24 Sep at 10:43 AM

The Agenda/Table of Contents (TOC) slide lists the main topics in the presentation. It usually appears after the cover slide and can display either the titles on the section and appendix divider slides and/or the slide titles. Subsection titles are optional and can be added to the section and appendix divider slides and included in the Agenda/TOC. Hyperlinks can be included to help navigate through the presentation.

Update the agenda by selecting Update, Agenda/TOC in the Linking group on the Create ribbon.

______

This function inserts a home link icon with a hyperlink to the first Agenda/TOC slide on every slide in the presentation. The hyperlink will work in PDF and Slide Show view.

Select Home Link on the Create ribbon.

Notes
The Home Link will only be able to be inserted if your document has a TOC/Agenda.
The Home Link hyperlink and the hyperlinks in the agenda/TOC will be visible in Slide Show view in PowerPoint. They will also be visible when the document is saved as a pdf.
After inserting slides, you will need to select Insert Home Link again to display the home link icon on the new slides.
